مدخل للمحادثة الانجليزية
 

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
أخوتي الأفاضل أخواتي العزيزات ... أبدا معكم اليوم سلسلة من العبارات الإنجليزية البسيطة التي قد تساعدكم كأساس للمحادثة الإنجليزية .. في هذه السلسلة سنتحدث عن العبارات التي تستخدم في الحالات الآتية :
- الاعتذارات
- الشكر
- الطلبات
- الدعوات
- الاقتراحات
- تبادل الآراء
- التحيات
- عبارات خاصة أخرى
قبل أن ابدأ أحب أن أخبركم أن هذه العبارات سهلة جدا وبسيطة ومع ذلك سأرفق الشرح بالعربي إن لزم الأمر .. أرجو أن تعجبكم وتستفيدوا منها ولا تنسونا من خالص دعائكم.

الحلقة الأولى الاعتذارات والشكر
A) Apologies

We can apologize { say we are sorry } in different ways in different situations
Apology
(I'm) sorry. ( formal ) I beg your pardon.
Situation
A general apology, e.g., you close the door in someone's face, interrupt someone, etc.
Apology
I'm very/ terribly/so/awfully sorry.
Situation
A stronger apology, e.g., you step on someone's foot or spill liquid on them.
Apology
I'm really sorry I'm late. / I'm very sorry to be late.
Situation
When you are late for an appointment
Apology
sorry to keep you waiting. I won't be long. [ I will talk to you soon.]
Situation
When someone is waiting to see you and you are busy, e.g., talking to someone else.
Note: In formal situations ( especially in writing ), we often use apologize and apology
I apologize for being late. I would like to apologize for the delay.
Please accept our apologies for the mistakes in your order.

بالانجليزية نحن نعتذر بطرق مختلفة في المواقف المختلفة ، ففي المواقف البسيطة ( عندما تقاطع أحدهم ) يكون الاعتذار بسيط ، وعندما يكون الموقف أقوى ( عندما تدوس على قدم أحدهم ) يكون الاعتذار أقوى ، وفي حالات معينة يكون لها اعتذار خاص كما في حالات التأخر عن موعد ما .. ومن الملاحظ أنه في حالة الاعتذارات الرسمية وخاصة الاعتذارات المكتوبة نحن لا نستخدم كلمة (sorry) بل نستخدم كلمة (apology) كما هو موضح بالأمثلة أعلاه.



B) Excuses

If the situation is important, we usually add an explanation or excuse after the apology. An excuse is the reason for the apology. Here are some common excuses
I'm sorry I'm late, but I was delayed / held up in traffic. [late because of a problem that is out of your control]
I'm sorry I'm late, but my flight was canceled. [ The flight was scheduled but did not fly.]
If you are responsible for a problem, you can offer or promise to do something about it
I'm sorry about the mess in here. I'll clean it up. [make it neat and clean].

عندما يكون الموقف مهم قد نحتاج لأن نبرر اعتذارنا ونشرح سبب التقصير ونعطي وعدا بإصلاح الأمر



C) Reassuring people

When people apologize to us, it is very common to say something to reassure them[ tell them that "everything is OK," and that we are not angry]. Here are some common expressions. Note that we often use two of them to emphasize the fact that "it's OK."

A: I'm sorry I'm late.
B: That's OK. Don't worry. / Never mind. It doesn't matter. / That's OK. No problem.

عادة عندما يعتذر لنا الآخرون نحن يجب أن نطمئنهم أن كل شيء على ما يرام وأننا لسنا غاضبين باستخدام إحدى التعبيرات التي ذكرت في المثال ، والأكثر شيوعا أن نستخدم تعبيرين معا لكي نؤكد حقيقة أن كل شيء بخير فنقول مثلا (كل شيء بخير، لا تقلق ).



D) Thanks

A: I'll mail those letters for you.
B: Oh, thank you. That's very kind of you.

A: Here's your pen.
B: Thanks very much. / Thanks a lot.

A: I'm so glad you could come.
B: It was a lovely dinner. Thank you for everything / for inviting me / for you hospitality.
