Replace old db with new db
 

I'm currently running a 3.8.4 version of vB. I'm going to move the forum to a new domain. I'm comfortable with transferring the files and db over. My question is this...

Can I do the transfer then work on the new forum for a week or so (I want to upgrade the style and some of the graphics) while the forum continues to be used on the old domain, then when I'm ready to announce the move, replace the db on the new domain with the more current one from the old domain?
