Forum Simple Header
 

With vb3 it had a simple header (least that's what i saw on other sites) that was small, compact, and did it's job. It had register, member list, today's posts search, login, register, forum name all in a simple box. You could easily put this below your existing site header/nav and it wouldn't look weird at all..

With VB4 that's all been put into a new header/navbar system thats large and complex which makes it difficult to integrate into a site that already has a nice header. Putting vb4 below it would just look odd. Is there a minimal style, or simple way to get this old minimal/simple/compact header back?
