Suite Can't move to php5
 

Hello,

I've decided to install vb 4.0.3. I've cleaned up my database and deleted all data from my host, upload the whole new version content and stumble across the 'installer not compatible with php4' problem. I've done many search on google and found the most common solution wich is to create a htaccess file containing this line :

SetEnv PHP_VER 5 (for PHP 5.2)
or
SetEnv PHP_VER 5_TEST (for PHP 5.3)

I renamed the file .htaccess and upload it to the root of my board which is right in the www folder where the whole content of the folder 'upload' is.

I get this message :

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.


After that I've tried to rename all files in the install folder as .php5, to no avail.
I'm sorry this question has being asked a 1000 times but the solutions I've read from others cases don't seem to work for me. I'v checked with my Host who is www.ovh.com and their server can take php 5.x.



Please help me. This is really depressing.
