CMS Primary Content & Sections Question
 

I'm a bit confused by this functionality.

I've created (for this example) 3 sections.

I have the HOME section set for 2X1 columns... After tinkering around I've discovered that "Articles" from other "Sections" are able to go into the "Primary Content" section... Now with 2X1 selected as described above....and ONLY showing 3 articles... is there a way to ensure the newest article from each section is posted there?

Ugh this is so confusing...

Also, maybe someone can explain this... When I change the column setting for the "Section" it doesn't apply the change... But if I edit and save an "Article" poof... the section setting becomes applied. What gives?
