New Install; Forum being hacked already? Version 3.8.5
 

Ok, I am a vBulletin Newbie. I have recently installed vBulletin for my site. It has been up and running for two days. The only Mod that I have installed is the sidebar mod. In the sidebar, under newest members we are seeing a lot of changing of the username in that space, and the total member count there continues to rise. However, most of the "Newest Members" do not show up in the actual members list and the number of members according to the members list does not match the number in the sidebar block for total number of members.

My questions:

How does this happen?

What can I do about it?

What is the real security risk here?
