Forum Wordpress + VBulletin = one login?
 

I'm trying to set up a story posting service while also create an attached forum. I was thinking Wordpress for posting the stories and VBulletin for the forum.

Here's my problem. I only want my members to have to login on one of the sites. Does anybody know of a simple solution, or out of the box or something? I doubt I'm the first person to have thought of this. I've found all kinds of plugins that integrate them, but not this particular one.

I suspect that the bit that checks whether you're logged into the VBulletin board page can be used on other pages somehow. I just need to find a clever way to do it.

This looks absolutely perfect, but as far as I can see it's bull****. I can't find a single place to download it. The same plugin can be found on dozens of pages and the link never goes anywhere:
