Forum Admin Settings: Error Handling & Logging
 

Hi,

I am trying to set up the option to 'Log Failed Admin Control Panel Logins to a File'.

I have set up a folder on my server and given full read/write access but despite trying it out with failed CP logins, no log file is created. I wonder if I am entering the directory path in the admin settings incorrectly. I have tried a full server path e.g.

home/accountname/public_html/websitedirectory/logs

and I have tried more direct relative paths such as:

websitedirectory/logs and
/logs

But no log file ever appears. I have also tried creating a blank file called logs.log in the folder as a starter, giving read/write access and then tagging the end of the above path examples with /logs.log

What I am missing (presumably something really obvious!)
