I am trying to understand the difference between the section titled "Friendly URL's in the admin options settings.

Standard URLs
Basic Friendly URLs
Advanced Friendly URLs
Mod Rewrite Friendly URLs

Can someone explain the difference between the types and how do you know which type should be used along with the other settings on the page.

How do these affect the Search Engines?
