Changing the RSS feed date settings
 

In the RSS Feed, is it possible to

a) Change the date format of the published date so that it includes the year? At the moment it only shows the day and the month.
b) Additionally or alternatively show the actual blog date (rather than the published date)?

I've had a mooch through the config files but can't see any obvious way of changing these settings.
