Forum How to exclude one specifiboard from the generated RSS and Search Engines like Google Hi all and thanks in advance for an answer. I'm a owner of Vbulletin 4.0 forum and on my site i've created a script to "integrate" one Board in my Forum and my Wordpress Blog. I mean that the posts written on the forum are replicated in the blog as comments and vice-versa. I'd like to exclude this specific board (and only this one!) from the RSS generated by the forum (i mean the global one that vbulletin creates, like this one here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS2 ). Is it possible? And if yes... how? With this integration i also have "duplicated" post in my blog and in my forum. What can i do to avoid google to index the forum without harming the blog SEO? Maybe i should use the Robots.txt file on the Google Webmaster Tools? Is it possibile to enter something like the URL (that is like the next example: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...Customizations ) of one board in this file so that the google cralwers don't search in it without damaging the others? Or maybe there are some other way: for example i've noticed an option, under edit forum option, to avoid the search engine to list keywords from a specific board. May it work for what i would like to do? Thanks again and long live Vbulletin, best forum in the world! AKirA from Italy |
