Search An Improved, User-Configurable Sub-Forum Search Filter
 

As others have pointed out, the Search in Forum(s) option that lets users filter which forums to search is impractical when the number of forums is large (see post #3). Currently, one selects forums using control-click or shift-click.

1. Users should be able to configure which sub forums to search using check boxes.
2. The list of forums should expand and collapse ("+" and "-" buttons).
3. Users should be able to (re)save a Baseline set of forums to search.
4. There should be buttons for "Select All Subforums", "Select None", and "Restore Saved Baseline".
5. The current functionality to optionally include child forums should should be retained.

The functionality in #1-#5 above would support a finer grained sub-forum filter which is easy to alter temporarily. One application would be to exclude or limit searches to marketplace adds, but there could be many others.
