Forum Hide the entire "What's Going on" section from unregistered users
 

I've see a few postings/thread about this, but none seem to have a definitive answer, so...

Is there a definitive way to hide/not output, the entire "What's going on" box either via a plugin or code change somewhere, for unregistered or a list of usergroup id's somewhere?
