Forum is datacache_filecache working in 4.0.2 pl4?
 

I upgraded my forums from 3.8.5 to 4.0.2 pl4 last weekend after having a successful upgrade process on my test site. I hadn't been using "$config['Datastore']['class'] = 'vB_Datastore_Filecache';" on the old 3.8.5 and thought I would use it on the 4.0.2 pl4 version after my upgrade completed. Here's my question.

I changed permission on the /includes/datastore/datastore_cache.php from the default 644 to 777 then removed the comments from "$config['Datastore']['class'] = 'vB_Datastore_Filecache';" in my config.php. Didn't notice any difference in the forums at all after some use. I went to look at datastore_cache.php, it had grown to 211k from the default 1k but permissions had been reset to 644. I reset permission back to 777 using cpanel and then logged into cpanel later to find the permission back at 644. I also tried setting permissions to 777 using smartftp with the same result. If i comment out the "$config['Datastore']['class'] = 'vB_Datastore_Filecache';" and then reset permissions to 777 they stay at 777. Tried reuploading the file with the same result. Is this the expected behavior and am I doing something wrong?
