Can we get a run down of anticipated major updates?

For example, is any work being done with the albums feature?
I ask because I have already invested in a third party product, but before I go "hog wild" I'd like to know if maybe in the near future, the albums portion might be similar to what I am needing (rather than running a third party application).

I futher ask for other third party products I see out there that interest me.

It would be nice to know what's coming down the pipe (if anything prior to 5.0) so we can plan accordingly.

I also ask in regards to "promised" features with 4.0 Gold.
Like for example I was told there would be a "Upcoming Events Combo Calendar / Listing Widget" with 4.0 Gold. I haven't seen that released yet - just a calendar widget specifically for the CMS.

Anyways...

Just something I would like to see more of here.
