Forum Cannot change the background color of a post.

I want to change the background color pointed by the red arrowhead. (background of a post)
I can change the background color of the place pointed by the blue arrow (style_var: body_background), but the color pointed by the red arrow changes as well!!!
I want to change the background color pointed by the red arrow ONLY.

The style_var postbit_background doesn't take any effect, I'm totally lost.....is it a bug? It actually worked at 4.0.1--
Any help is greatly appreciated.
