CMS .htaccess (mod rewrite) causes 500 internal server errors on 404 pages
 

Hi,
After putting the .htaccess file (from vB CMS package) to public_html directory, my error pages do not work. E.g. if I type non-existing URL it causes 500 internal server error instead of showing 404 error page.
If I remove vB's htaccess file, it shows 404.shtml file defined in CPanel>Error pages.

The only thing I want to do is to redirect all 404 and other errors to my home page.

Can you please help me to fix this?
