Forum Paid subscription levels questions
 

I'm thinking of offering a tiered membership to my site. A free guest level, a general paid level and a more advanced paid level. There will obviously be different levels of accessibility and usability throughout the site.

I'll set up the default membership to the free level. If someone wants to upgrade they can. It will be an annual membership rate. Nothing extraordinary mind you. So here in lies the question...

If someone has a paid membership, and their annual due date comes and goes without them renewing (I don't intend on having it on auto-renew), what happens to their profile/account with the site? I would think it should default back down to the free level so at least they don't lose their nicname and history.

Is this a default setup or something I need to put in place? If so, is it a really daunting task... I just might change it up a bit then... lol

Or am I totally missing something here?
