Restoring a site via Impex?
 

I am looking at purchasing a forum from a friend of mine. It's been up nearly 10 years now, and I would jump on it, but there is one problem...He purged old threads to keep the DB size down.

The site has had many good conversations and a ton of valuable content written on it, but he deleted it all due to wanting to stick with cheap hosting. He has a bunch of backups from over the years with most of the content, and he said he would burn them all to a DVD for me.

Is there any way to restore the forum from 100 or so backups, could I/should I use impex?
