Forum CMS permissions problem
 

No users can view the homepage unless I turn on publishing permissions in CMS>Permissions

And when I do this, they see the pencil on my homepage to edit the sections ??

Please help, pulling hair out

If I just give all groups READ permissions, they get the "you do not have permission to access this page" message
But if I give them also publishing permisions, they can view the page, and edit the content
