Forum Forums broken when removed path /forums/
 

I have a problem now, I decided to go ahead and put the forums on the root directory, I removed /forums/ from it, makes my life bit easier.
My concern is, when I open up the website in Internet explorer the red icons show up and when I right click on them it shows the extra path /forums/ in between.
Can that be an easy fix?

I went in control panel and changed the path and removed /forums/ but it still shows the old path when I right on the images that have the red X.
What can I do to fix this?
