Creating a Landing Page and linking it to the board
 

Hi Everyone -

I hope I am placing this in the right section, if not, please let me know or feel free to move it to the right place.

I am interested in creating a splash/landing page when someone visits my site. I'd like it to be a simple page that says welcome to etc etc etc. please click here to continue to the forum.

Does anyone know how to do this. I am not familiar at all with much web design and linking pages together. Is it possible to create this splash/landing page and link it to my forum without having my forum being inside another forum. currently my site is just plain www.xxxxxxxx.com, would i have to move it to www.xxxxx.com/forum and have the landing page be www.xxxxxxxx.com and the button one would click on point to www.xxxxx.com/forum?

In addition to this question, does anyone know how I would be able to make a button clickable so it points to the board (i.e - how to set it up so that a button is actually clickable). Please let me know if I can clarify any of this, I know what I am thinking, but sometimes I realize what I am trying to convey can be fuzzy.
