Put New Users in Restricted Usergroup
 

Was trying to figure out the best way to isolate new users for 14 days to prevent some of the spam that is happening on our boards - in other words, eliminate sigs, no PM's etc till they have been around a while.

Created a New Registered User group, set the appropriate permissions there and then created a promotion rule to promote New Registered User to Registered User after 14 days - but can't figure out how to plop someone in the New Registered User group instead of the RU group out of the chute.

Is there something I am missing or is there a better way to go about this?
