New members instantly banned
 

When new users sign up to our site and click on the proceed button, they get a message stating that they are banned.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never

We are set up to approve all new users, but surely this warning can't be giving the right message? Many users simply don't bother to click on the confirmation email to confirm once they've read this.

Is this a known problem?
