How exactly does this function work?

Duplicate threads are threads that have the same title, post name, and post time and are posting in the same forum as another thread.

Lets say I use impex to import database # 1 which has posts from Dec 2008 to April 2009
Then I use impex to import database # 2 which has posts from January 2009 to Dec 2009

If I did this, I would have duplicates for the Jan - April 2009 period.

So, assuming I moved the posts to the same forums, could I use this function to delete the duplicates?

Which thread would it keep? Does the system know to keep the most recently updates version?
