Forum Search limitations for words containing hyphen, dot etc
 

My users have noticed, since importing a forum from phpBB, that the search system seems incapable of indexing words with '-' and '.' in them.

For example, this particular forum is shooting related. Where they used to be able to search for .30-06, 30-06 or .308 on phpBB, the same search on vb4 yields no results.

Is there anything I can do to get it to index such 'words'?
