Forum Upgrading from vBulletin 3.5.0 to vBulletin 4 publishing?
 

Hi guys.. its time I upgraded, so im planning to go from vBulletin 3.5.0 to the new sparkly vBulletin 4 publishing full package!

So what next? Im a web designer so web savvy with backing up database etc ready.. and also going to set it all up on a new server too for a quick switch across.

The question I have is... we have a LOT of forum history with nearly 13k members.. the forum has been going since 2003 and we keep all posts. So.. am I going to be able to simply update the database into the new system without fear of loosing vital user details and posts? and is there anything I should look out for to save me loosing 7 years worth of data?

Any help and advice appreciated. I'd like to cover all fail zones before starting.
