Forum Subscribe to Forum not showing in members subscription
 

This may be a user error, but I want to make sure.

I have a section of my forum that I do not want visible. I have added a new Navbar tab assigned to this "invisible" forum and given a certain user group permission to click and view it. I also want them to be able to subscribe to the sub forums and threads.

By setting the forum Display to "0", choosing to subscribe to the forum does not show up under the users subscriptions. By setting the Active to "no" the same problem occurs.

So is there a way to "hide" a forum and still have users subscriptions to it show up (if they have the right permissions)?

Note: This is a "Paid Subscription" area (different than subscribing to a forum). Also I have a non-paid area that I have hidden...the subscribed to threads show, but not the subscribed forums.
