Forum Switching URL of forum/CMS from "/forum" to root of domain Currently my forum domain is in www.example.com/forum (as is this one and many others). In my root directory are various static html pages. (e.g. a "home page, and some various info pages) If I install vB4 suite, I intend to move the content of these pages into the CMS. Now this makes me think that it's more sensible to install the whole vB4 suite into the root as the "home page" would be www.example.com/forum/content.php Like on here, the home page appears to be: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/content.php (if you click on the logo or home tag) But really you would expect http://www.vbulletin.com/ to be "home": Presumably if I do this, 301 redirects will take care of any existing links. Has anyone else got any thoughts on this? Good idea to change or bad idea? |
