Forum How to change sender email address?
 

I would like to change the sender email for emails sent by forum.

Right now the sender email look like this:
[email protected]

is it possible to change to ex. [email protected] ??

I have tried to get the SMTP email, but that does not work at all.

Gmail, does not work:
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to tcp://smtp.gmail.com:587 (Connection timed out)

Hostmonster, i dont get an error when sending but no email is sent.

Godaddy, does not work:
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to tcp://smtpout.secureserver.net:25 (Connection timed out)

I have tried all possible ports and with and without SSL, so the only working option is the PHP email finction, but i would like to change the sender email.

Is that possible? And how?
