Greetings!

Quick update about 2.0. Originally I thought I'd just work produce 2.0 with all the changes. I am going back on that. The next version will be 1.7.0. The 2.x series is still planned, but I want to move towards it in steps instead of abruptly.

The biggest change will be with branches and file locations. No more config/, templates/, javascript/mod/, images/mod/, etc. directories. All files will be pulled from the hub and from the module directories. This will easy upgrades, installs, and branch creation. I had my reasons for having it like it is at the time, but I do not anymore.

New classes have been written for Database (DB2), Form (Form2), and Image. They are not required. Instead they will supplement current core libraries. As I rewrite modules, I plan on using these classes instead. I am also planning on creating other classes like Text2 soon.

Boost will change. I want an easier method for installing, updating and creating modules. The current way will still be supported.

We are looking into a command line interface for different processes (install, upgrade, create user, etc.) It isn't developed yet, but we'd really like to be able to create branches and users quickly without getting into the web interface.

FCKeditor is deprecated for CKeditor. I have it working in subversion but I'd like to write a proper Filecabinet interface.

Most of the above is planned for 1.7. After that, a Form Generator and Gallery module are planned to replace the old x.10 ones. Also Jeff is developing a great overhaul to PageSmith page creation. I think you will be really impressed.
