Having a bit of mail issues.. Here is a little history..

We were with machighway shared server and our mail was not working as it should. Email option was set to just "yes". We moved hosts and started doing work on our site, upgraded to latest 3.8.4 P2 was working with a member from vbulletin.org to fix everything.

We got the mail working in VB by going to "yes, with locking", this was great, the bad was it had 526,000+ emails it wanted to send all the way back from 4/2009. Needs to say we were spamming users with old emails. We asked over on vb.org and was told to run:
TRUNCATE TABLE mailqueue;
After we did this our site went down, mailqueue table was bad. We ran the repair and fix indexes, it seems to of finally fixed it, site was still down. We had to disable all plugins to get in to vb. Once in we turned email to "no" and restarted mysql and apache. The site came up and working since.

Bad thing is email does not seem to be working with this setting again. If I change it back it just kills the site and starts sending errors. I even tried smtp to localhost with login pass word no luck there either.. :(

If anyone has any ideas it would be BIG help. I can get more info if its needed..
