Blog Convert old forum threads to Blogs

For years myself and my members have been using the forum to create our Blogs (Rambles), and I want to remove them from the forums and make them blogs since that's really what they are.

Is there a way to convert them over so they all get properly placed into the Blog section of vB Publish? And if there is, would I be able to delete that old forum section and that would NOT actually delete the Blogs because all ties between their ThreadID and their new BlogID would be cut? Or would I just have to hide that old forum category?
