Multi-Quote Give us the ability to multi-quote closed postings.
 

With the old http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...s-and-Feedback forum frustratingly being closed we have to repeat ourselves over and over again in the new http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...-4-Suggestions forum.

So, we are forced now/ often have the need to quote postings from the old forum inside the new one. But... when we go to a closed forum, this is what we see:

But... vBulletin actually gives us the option to multi-quote postings from a different thread inside the current one in general. Since this is default functionality, this should be enhanced to make better use of it.

You see:

• When you have for example multi-quoted 2 postings from thread 'A',
• Then go to thread 'B' and then press [Go Advanced] inside the Quick Editor this message appears:

  This way you are able to quote postings from a different thread inside the current one. Great!

Yes... the enduser needs to know that it ONLY works when they press [Go Advanced] inside the Quick Editor! Pressing [Reply to Thread] [Reply] or [Reply with Quote] just doesn't work when you want to insert mulit-quoted postings from a different thread. Ofcourse, the novice vBulletin enduser will never ever get to know this, like with so many other things inside vBulletin.

But... for people who are in the know of this... it would be very handy if vBulletin would add the multi-quote button to closed forums/threads. With a multi-quote button it does not become possible to reply to a closed thread (which is the purpose of a closed forum/thread ofcourse), but it will make it possible to select/multi-quote those postings to insert them in an open forum/open thread.
