Forum Restricting Memberships
 

80% of my "new members" are from IP addresses from RIPE, APNIC, the usual spam havens. They are using usernames that make no sense, mostly gmail and hotmail addresses.

I have been moderating users, so any IP from these providers never gets to be a member, but geez, where are these people coming from? My board has no ads, it's a small community, how do these guys find us?

Anyway, I know you can restrict IPs in the "vBulletin Options", but can you restrict by ISP? It there some way to find out the IPs from RIPE, APNIC, and the other usual suspects? I am getting tired of moderating users.

When these guys get in, they usually just post with cell phone ads and stuff like that. Annoying, but at some point they might become more malicious.
