Forum vb4 quicktime in posts, best practice?
 

Hi all, I just upgraded to vb4. Everything seems to be working fine so far, except for my posts that were using AME to process the posting of multimedia links like youtube and vimeo. prior to the upgrade process, I dissabled all my plugins per the instructions.

I may have been on crack at the time, but I was under the impression that with version 4 VB would finally start processing these kinds of links without the need of a plugin. what I've noticed is that SOME stuff sort of works. My older quicktime posts and flash posts seem to be processing fine using the direct code linking I had built them with, and my custom BB coded posts seem to be working. If i use the media button at the top of the posting windw, youtube, etc those seem to work just fine.

but my question is this: what is the best way to allow my users to directly post links to quicktime movies in posts? I teach motion graphics, and I need my students to be able to post links to their homework as quicktime movies.

should I be using AME3, or is there another better option?
