Forum What is overriding my forum permissions?
 

I am trying to restrict usergroup Registered Users from using any bb code. I go to admincp >> usergroup manager >> and turn off those options "Allow BB Code = No" "Allow Basic BB Code = No" Allow image code no, link code no, etc.

YET Registered Users can still use all of these? I tested permissions by setting "Can View Forums" to NO and that worked. Why can't I set any of their other permissions?

This did work before on my new site I am setting up. Then I decided to force new members to post one message in an introductions forum. So I restricted Registered Users permissions and used a promotion to another group. I decided to scrap that but cannot put things back they way they were, permissions-wise.

Thoughts please?
