Forum Search for posts by USER returns incorrect results OK... a brand new install of VB4. NO load of old data... a Brand New Site/Forum. In use since Dec 25. 23 users, 790 posts, 142 threads. So, as admin, i have made 45 or so posts. So I want to find them all.... let's use Search. First, I must click on advanced Search, because the static search is only for some text searching. Then I must click on "Search by Type" to get to "Advanced Search". OK, this is just silly. Then I enter my Username in the "Find Posts by Username" box. It even tries to "autofill" for me. I choose "Search All Open Forums", from the drop-down box. I click (select) "Also Search in Child Forums" Then I click "Search Now". It gives me some results..... it shows I have 21 posts. This is WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!! I have about 45 posts. I have rebuilt indexes, I have rebuilt everything I can think of. I think there is a major BUG here. (to say nothing of what I think about the whole "search" user-interface design and logic) |
