CMS Odd category thing
 

I have a sidebar widget that is displaying categories, all is well until you click on one of the category links, the data appears as you'd expect showing the correct posts for the categories in the main process area, but the category suddenly gains a number "1" in the sidebar.

Any ideas? I've run firebug and am still none the wiser.

Have tried this with multiple browsers and styles (including default) with the same result, I made the category widget following Lynne's excellent guide on CMS content. The "1" appears regardless of the number of posts against a particular category.
