CMS Feature Request: Full styling for articles on section pages (preview)
 

Hello*

At the moment an article displayed on a section page has a very limited styling* only at the article page does the full styling become visible. Examples of these are the blockquote and table styling.

Personally* I don't like this. I often use the function to show the full article on the section page* and in such cases I want the full layout.

I currently added a div with the "restore" class to the article preview text. This kind of solves it. I also used a condition to remove the link to the article page from the title when the full article is displayed on the section page* as this makes the link superfluous.

It would be nice however to have a option for articles whether you want the full styling on the section page or not. And wether you want the title to be a link to the full article.

In general it would be nice if the vB Team would take more into account that some people (probably a lot) will want to use (some of) the section pages as (more or less) static pages* in which case a full styling is required and no links to full articles are needed. The current system with articles maybe nice for magazines and other sites with a lot of changing content* but is a bit limited for more static sites* without template edits that is.
