Suite Moving DB from 3.8.4 to 4.0
 

I'm in a jam. I'll lay out my "plan" and hopefully you can tell me where I went wrong and what my new plan should be.

I have our forum at www.xyz.org* I'd like the new forum at www.abc.com. Since I was upgrading to 4.0* I figured this would be the logical time to make the switch. abc.com was a portal to xyz.org* but it seems it would be easier in the long run to just run at one location.

So* I DL'd a fresh/clean copy of 4.0* and uploaded it to abc.com. Everything worked fine.

I backed up the DB there. I backed up the DB at xyz.org and planned to import it to abc.com.

When I did that ( after a few attempts)* abc.com immediately redirects to the forum at xyz.org. I can't access my admin cp at abc.com* or any other page (one page actually stays there* but gets errors).

I know there's got to be a way to move the location of a forum from one domain to another* but I didn't do something correctly. I'm open to any advice that may be out there. Thanks!
