Forum Threaded and Hybrid view not functioning as expected
 

I've just this morning upgraded my forums from 3.84 to 4 w/ the patch release. Although everything seems to be up and running now* I notice that threaded and hybrid view are not functioning as they used to. Instead of jumping a user to that point in the thread when a hyperlinked thread snippet is clicked upon in the thread "tree" - the post is briefly shown* then has a redirect to the first post in the thread (threaded view) or else nothing happens at all (hybrid view.)

Is there something I need to enable or tweak to have these views resume their previous functionality? I found a reference to this same issue in the 4.0 beta forums* but without any resolution. No comments about whether threaded is useful or not; we have a lot of users who prefer it* period. This community migrated from DCForum kicking and biting* so threaded view is not going anywhere.
