CMS Point of Subcategories?
 

Has anyone figured out the point of subcategories in the CMS? I see a point in categories as they are visibly prominent* but I haven't seen how subcategories factor into the CMS as they do not take a prominent role or placement. I do see a complete need for it* yet I don't see it's implementation into the CMS.

Has anyone found how subcategories work in the CMS?
