lost database password
 

Pardon my ignorance* but i didn't realize I had a database password. I'm trying to run a backup via my hosting company's admin page using phpMyAdmin and it's asking me for a password. If I setup a password when I first put my forum online I don't remember what it is. My host says I can reset the password but it will "break any scripts
which connect to the database until they are updated with the new password." I would really appreciate some advice. This is not an area I'm familiar with. Thanks!
