Forum Anyone else notice when you read a thread it doesn't mark it read
 

I came back in this evening* reading posts and they don't get marked as read* none that I have read* even the announcement of the update release* read it twice. Even used the mark forum read and still not working. Using Mozilla Firefox.

I have to agree with what I have read this system seems very buggy for something that we have all paid for in advance of not seeing. I can see a class action starting on this one* if something isn't done to improve this system.

For a Novice person it is a nightmare* for the more inclined it is still pretty much not that much better. For people that code and work out the problems yes simple for them* but it shouldn't be that hard.

You buy a car and expect it to work* software should be pretty much the same* not need a bloody degree in programming to resolve issues that should have been fixed long before the release of the program.

Frankly the CMS should be kept separate from the forum* what if something breaks with the CMS* sort of stuffs up the forum as well. At least you could have a fall back plan in place. I certainly won't be updating my site any time soon to this pathetic piece of software* released in such a rush that beggars belief in why they did it* especially before Xmas. Now everyone will have to wait for something in the New Year or later in the year before seriously looking at this again. I wouldn't expect the planned release of 4.0.1 to be any better* but bring in more bugs.

The fact that you have to now become an expert in CSS coding as well as in many other things. The layout of working through the controls isn't laid out in any logic at all* it is all over the place.

Look at how Joomla* Mambo and other CMS systems work and take some lessons from them* before trying to reinvent the wheel at least start with a round wheel and work from there.
