Sub forums as links* can I do it via threads?
 

I have set up a few subforums that act as links i.e. When a user clicks the link* instead of taking them to a forum full of threads* it takes them direct to a third party site site via an affiliate link. I clearly label them as such and they are beneficial to my users* as well as to me.

My problem is the way the forums nest and their display* it would be great if the links could be treated as threads in their own forum* is there a way that can be done?

It's a little complicated so I'll try to explain via screenshots:

The Hotel Deals is the forum with subforums as links* but this is what it looks like. Note there is an empty forum with an announcement. I dont want the empty forum nor announcement to show. So threads acting as links in the Hotel Deals forum would work nicely. Can that be done?

Finally* if a user clicks on the breadcrumb link for that forum category they see all the links mixed among the true forums* I need about 8 such links so this isnt very user friendly.
