Tehran* Dec 5* IRNA – Bahrain’s Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa extended his felicitations to Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir* Iran’s Embassy in Bahrain reported on Saturday.

In a separate message* the Bahraini premier also congratulated Iran’s First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi on the Ghadir feast.

In his messages* the premier has hoped further achievements for the Iranian nation as well as all Muslim and Arab states.

Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa* Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander in the Kingdom of Bahrain has also forwarded a message of felicitations to President Ahmadinejad.

Eid al-Ghadir marks the day when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) appointed Imam Ali (AS) as his successor in a place called Ghadir Khom.
