OK...I have been hooked and a few days ago pre-ordered the new CMS vB.4 for in hopes to replace my current YaBB 2.4 on our site http://www.fishsniffer.com/cgi-bin/forumsyabb/YaBB.pl

I am certain I will be needing support and advice with this project especially since my current forum consist of 15 thousand members plus with lots of historical data I need to capture. Our current forum is not using a MySQL and the file count is outrageously out of control.

Along with keeping intact current members and their post....the goal for our site is to pick and choose and mirror select articles currently in our print publication as well as link within our forum or forum to article. Of course this is advertised possible with vb4 but I am concerned about the migration of the current forum as I have survived several similar moves and seldom are they pretty. As everyone knows members can be very cranky when you force change on them but we need a more stable and viable solution and I am hoping that vBulletin will prove to be the right choice for our publications website.

Please have a look at our current forum and let me know any suggestions or requirements I need to include or meet to make this a good marriage.

Will I need to upgrade so that my template can be managed to look much to how it does now? This is all new to me since I have never used vBulletin before and I have a full plate long before adding on this project.
