Hacking issue. Advice please

If someone could advise on this I would be extremely grateful.

Due to sluggish loadtime and a lack of php5 I moved soapchat.net to a new hosting server.

Apparently not long after the move the server was hacked and a virus injected into the database. I was told the way it was injected it would take almost a week for an expert to find every charachter and rectify it.

The only backup I have is the injected database.

As a conseqence I have moved back to my old server with the database intact but obviously now missing 2-3 weeks worth of data.

Can anyone advise on the best cause of action? I have run this forum for 13 years and this is the first time I have come across this.

Any advice would be really appreciated.
