A strange situation
 

My main site is is a .Net application running on a windows VPS. After trying 2 different .Net forums I decided I had to move to vBulletin so I created a new domain on a shared linux server for it.

vBulletin installed fine and now I am ready to convert my data.

Unfortionately my host does not support MSSQL connectivity on their shared Linux servers.

I do have the ability to run PHP on my windows server.

I'm wondering if I can install and run just Impex on a server without vBulletin itself being installed or does Impex rely on vBulletin code.

If Impex does require a vBulletin installation to run can I install it on my windows server just to run Impex without having to worry about licensing issues?
